Girevoy Sport is about precision, speed, and reaction time.
Originated in the late 1980s under the Soviet Weightlifting Federation and shares the same qualities as the Olympic lifts, while the KB Jerk is almost the same technique as its barbell uncle. To be efficient in Girevoy Sport you must have the speed to rack the bells after the clean, making a fast second dip in the jerk, and catch and drive in Snatch.

BB Clean serves all of these purposes greatly!
It’s arguably the most effective exercise for developing full-body explosive strength, speed, and coordination to excel in Girevoy Sport and other athletic endeavors you may pursue in the future.

KB Snatch and BB Clean is a Hybrid Program that develops explosive strength and muscular endurance. This is a lifetime protocol, because as you grow in your plates on a barbell and minutes on a platform - the program grows with you! Whether you pick it up again within six months or six years, it will serve you as if it was your first time - adjust the starting weight for the Clean, and the KB size and tempo of the Snatch and you’re good to go!
