The Girevoy Sport Fartlek Program serves a couple of purposes:

  1. Amateur Lifter Friendly.
    If you want to try Kettlebell (Girevoy) Sport Protocol AND have fun - this is for you.
  2. Moving an athlete through a Plato
  3. Develop and/or improve special endurance, in particular the ability to recover and speed up within a set.
  4. Off-season protocol for Girevoy Sport Athletes, that serves more general, aka GPP purpose
  5. Non-specific framework for the general population, pro athletes in their off-season and in-season tapers, first responders, special forces, and everybody who wants to practice GS more flexibly, yet still reap serious results by the end of Week 12.

Girevoy Sport shares the same characteristics as running and unless we learn and develop the ability to lift under various HR levels, we lose the ability to improve our total number on the platform, be it in a competition or for our own sake.
